3 Echoes Doula – Echoing your voice, and the sacred connection between Body, Babe, and Gaia.
If you’ve found yourself here, chances are you’re exploring the path to birth and motherhood, seeking someone to walk beside you, to hold space, to help you feel safe, informed, and cared for. I want you to know, you’re in the right place.
As a mother of three, I know just how transformative this journey can be. It’s raw and real, beautiful and bewildering all at once. I’ve lived the stretch and softness of it, the questions, the courage, the quiet knowing that grows as you begin to trust your body and your instincts.
That’s where I come in.
My role as your doula isn’t to lead the way, but to walk alongside you whilst offering gentle guidance, emotional support, and grounded knowledge through your pregnancy, birth, and those tender early weeks after your baby is born.
Whether you’re planning a homebirth, a hospital birth, a VBAC, or a caesarean, your story matters. Your voice matters. And your choices deserve to be honoured, every step of the way.
A little about me
I’m originally from the UK, and my family and I moved to Perth in 2022 in search of a slower pace, more sunshine, and a little more magic. We found it, and so much more.
As a mum to three vibrant, noisy, hilarious children (aged between 8-13), I’m in the thick of motherhood myself. I know what it means to carry the weight of the mental load, to juggle the chaos, and to crave a calm, nurturing presence when life feels big. I also know that nothing prepared me more for becoming a doula than becoming a mother.
My work is deeply inspired by the women around me. From my own village of mums and friends to the clients who invite me into one of the most sacred seasons of their lives. These women remind me every day of our strength, our softness, and the power of being truly supported.
Why I became a doula
My path to birth work began long before I ever stepped into a birth space. I was around ten years old when I first saw a birth on TV and something inside me lit up. I was completely captivated. Even then, I knew there was something sacred, powerful, and deeply human about birth. That moment planted a seed in me, and the passion never left.
Over the years, I found myself endlessly drawn to stories of birth, motherhood, and the strength of women. That deep calling followed me into adulthood and resurfaced powerfully after becoming a mother myself. For three years, I have worked as a birth photographer, quietly capturing women in their most powerful, transformative moments. But I quickly realised I wanted to do more than bear witness. I wanted to be there in every sense. To hold a hand. To whisper encouragement. To guard the space. To nurture.
That calling led me to train with the Doula Training Academy, where I deepened my knowledge in physiological birth, advocacy, postpartum recovery, and everything in between.
Now, after decades of carrying this dream in my heart, the timing is right. My children are growing, my roots here in Perth are strong, and I’m finally able to pour myself into the work I’ve always felt destined to do. I’ve seen how broken and fragmented our current systems can be, how little continuity of care exists, and how women are too often left overwhelmed and unheard. My mission is to fill those gaps, soften the edges, and offer the kind of loving, steady presence that every woman deserves.
What I offer
At 3 Echoes Doula, I provide support before, during, and after birth tailored to you, your family, and your unique needs.
Whether you’re looking for:
- Emotional preparation for birth
- A calming, informed presence in your birth space
- Gentle, ongoing postpartum support
- Or simply someone to help you make sense of it all…
…I’m here, with hands open and heart wide.
My care is intuitive and informed. I bring evidence-based knowledge, deep listening, and genuine warmth to every family I walk alongside. There is no “one-size-fits-all” here. Just real, continuous care that meets you where you are.
My philosophy
I believe in the sacred connection between Body, Babe, and Gaia. The wisdom of the body, the bond with your baby, and the grounding energy of the earth beneath your feet.
I believe that your body is not broken. That birth is not a medical event by default. That you deserve to be informed, respected, and supported without condition.
I believe in laughter when things get awkward, in cups of tea when the world feels heavy, and in holding space for tears, triumphs, and everything in between.
And above all – I believe in you.
You deserve to feel held.
You deserve to feel heard.
You deserve to birth in power, in peace, and in your own way.
With love,
Abbi x
