Hi there, I am Lucy, and I am a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through the Doula Training Academy.
I am the woman, mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend behind Aura and Soul Holistic Doula Services, and I am based in South-West Sydney.
The support that I offer is my soul work. I view pregnancy, birth and postpartum as an opportunity to connect within. I believe that childbirth is a transformative rite of passage that deserves to be honoured. I am here to honour you and your partner and to provide everything that goes hand-in-hand with facilitating a birth experience that is calm, supported, comfortable and on your terms. I understand how being in a positive mindset can make all the difference. I also believe your partner deserves to be informed and supported too.
For as long as I could remember, I have been in awe of pregnancy and birth and becoming a mother was the one thing I ever really wanted to be. For my husband and I, we took the scenic route to parenthood. I am an IVF mama, and I am proud of it! Through my infertility journey and the birth of my own child (Caesarean) it became obvious to me the importance of evidence-based knowledge and understanding the physiology of birth.
When I am not deep into birth and expanding my knowledge, I can be found loving my beautiful boy, husband, and fur babies. My days are beautifully filled to the brim with dance parties, running my oily business, story books, changing nappies, dinosaurs, preparing snacks, adventuring in nature and CrossFit (I know, it’s not a cult I promise)
With your best interest at heart, I aim to make your experience the best that it can be. For you to feel secure in all the choices you make and provide you with current evidence-based information throughout your pre-conception, pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum period.
