Hi, I’m Madi!
I’m so glad you’re here whether you are already expecting a little love or starting to plan your pregnancy.
This sacred transition of bringing life into the world deserves love, support and trust. This trust is not only with your care providers, but trust within yourself and your instincts, something that will guide you through the entirety of your motherhood journey.
I had always known what I really wanted to be when I grew up, was a Mum. This passion first led me to degree in Early Childhood and Primary Teaching. The pregnancy of my first daughter and journey to motherhood was filled with research, learning, gathering knowledge and building trust in my body and connecting to my baby. Almost immediately postpartum, I started Rachel Reeds Childbirth Physiology course, before committing to my Doula Training Academy study with Vicki Hobbs, knowing this was exactly my mission and purpose. I couldn’t ignore this calling.
My first birth was a spontaneous labour and an unplanned caesarean birth. I am so grateful that I had prior knowledge to make empowering decisions that were best for ME at the time. I am currently planning a homebirth for my second baby, fifteen months after my first caesarean. I hope to update this page with the news of a sweet little babe born into my arms in our home, surrounded by love and warmth.
My mission is that women can prepare for birth after caesarean to feel empowered and educated, by cultivating the trust in themselves to make choices that they whole heartedly believe are best for them, prior to and as the birth unfolds.
My core message is ‘Born in Birth, Mother and Baby’, and I specifically tailor my services to clients with a previous caesarean. However, it is that our babies are born into this world, reminding ourselves that a mother is born too can encourage a motherhood journey of reclaimed and continued empowerment.
Part of this mission is supporting birth partners to be equipped with knowledge and skills, so they can be prepared to the best of their ability, allowing the birthing woman to focus and trust in the process.
No matter how birth unfolds, it is my mission that the women I support feel their choices were their own, feel supported and held by their partners, which means they can enter motherhood strong, capable, trusting themselves and in love with their partner and new family.
Whilst I will be on maternity leave and getting to know our new family of four, I will remain active and responsive on social media and contactable via email. Reach out if you are feeling called, and if I am unable to support you in the ways you need, I will be able to direct you to another wonderful doula here in the Great Southern WA.
My name is Madi, and I am a student doula who is in training at the Doula Training Academy.
