Hi, I’m Elicia, and I am a student at the Doula Training Academy and a Remedial Massage therapist that specialises in pregnancy massage.
I am based in the beautiful South of Adelaide.
I am wife to Mr. Proud and a mummy to two beautiful girls Bertie and Winnie.
We spend a lot of time in the garden together, working on our home and cooking. If we’re not at home, we are down at the beach or walking our dog.
My family would describe me as the healer or nurturer of our family. I was the eldest of 4 girls, so I have always been surrounded by feminine vibes.
From a young age I had always wanted my own babies and have been intrigued by the process of birth.
Nurturing and caring for families are part of who I am. Being a doula, for me, is the dream and it such a privilege to be a part of your journey.
Empowering you to a positive birth experience is my aim, and I want you to be able to gracefully walk into motherhood with confidence.
Since the birth of my first child, I have seen and experienced how we can fall through the cracks within our healthcare system, how we can enter such a momentous time without education and confidence. We lack continuity of care, community support and are often left to find our feet in our new role of motherhood. That’s how my first story went. With my second daughter I put into practice everything I have learnt from my training and from becoming a mother and achieved a beautiful calm birth at home.
I hope for more women to experience the process of birth as beautiful and within your power.
My business is Proud to Birth. I am passionate about working with the mothers whole self, to create balance of both the physical and emotional. I hope to guide you through the light and shade of pregnancy, so you can approach your birth with openness, and that I can support you during your postpartum, with care and softness.
