Hello! My name is Imogen O’Hara.
I started working as a doula in 2021 where I witnessed and supported women and their loved ones through full spectrum maternity care.
I decided to take a break while I completed my nursing degree and started working in child and family health as a registered nurse. Not long into my new role my husband, Alex and I decided to try for a baby and were very blessed to fall pregnant quickly.
We planned a home birth through the CMP and with the support of my incredible midwife, I brought my beautiful daughter earthside.
I can only describe my postpartum experience as magic. Our little family was so loved on by those around us. With this support we were able to navigate new parenthood with less apprehension and more confidence. The first few months were the best days of my life.
I want other mothers to experience postpartum the way I have. For them to feel held and nourished in body and soul.
To have someone to listen, offer them evidence-based options when they’re navigating this new realm, but most importantly to remind them to trust their gut, to feed them, tend to their baby while they shower unhurriedly or nap knowing their baby is safely cared for, prepare meals, deep clean their home, play with their older babies, walk the dog.
Tend to their needs while they soak in those fleeting newborn moments.
A blissful postpartum begins with preparation during pregnancy. Together we can map the path you want your birth and postpartum to take so you enter motherhood armed with knowledge and confidence that fosters your intuition.
I offer prenatal support, birth education, mother blessing facilitation, postpartum support and birth sling hire. Pay it forward support is also offered to those in financial difficulty (dependent on availability).
