From womban to womban, I am here to support women going through one of their most transformational changes in life. I am here to encourage you when you feel most vulnerable. To motivate you when you feel like you want to give up. To guide you back to your intuition when you feel lost. And ultimately to remind you of the power that is within you to create the birth experience you desire.
As women, we are all mothers.
We are mothers, in one way or another. It is in our nature to birth and nurture. The epitome of this being the birth of your own child. And we mother in so many other ways – in caring for our loved ones, other children that are not our own, our community, our own selves, our creations (it could be that you are birthing your own business project) and/or our environment – this list is not exhaustive and each women has a different way of showing her nurturing side.
As women, we are inherently powerful.
Only a woman can know the struggles of a woman. We know of our intrinsic strength to carry, endure and still be able to give endlessly. She holds the power to bring life into this world.
And it is these aspects in us women that I honor and want to serve – and feel called to support.
My name is Kirstin Devens and I am a certified Birth Doula in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.
Honoring women and the miraculous process of birthing life, has led me to offer my services today. My approach is holistic and includes a variety of offerings, such as massage to alleviate discomfort/pain, healing touch in the form of Angelic Reiki, aromatherapy to soothe the senses, sound bowl healing to return to your center. But most of all, it is my goal to create a safe container tailored to your unique needs where you feel listened to, heard and understood.
